Jered grew up in Minneapolis, MN playing golf and Ice Hockey. He spent his youth developing a love and passion for the game of golf playing in Junior Tournaments and in High School. He went to Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC where he was a Two-Time Div III first team All-American. During his college years, Jered was a Quarterfinalist at the USGA Amateur Public Links Championship, a member of the winning team at the 2001 USGA Team Championship, and he also won the Minnesota State Match Play.

      Jered graduated from Methodist College in 2001 with a degree in Business Administration with emphasis on Professional Golf Management. He wanted to follow his dream of becoming a Tour Player. He turned pro in 2001 and became a student of Mike Bender and Ty Krieger's for 6 years.  While touring as a professional Jered played on several mini-tours including the NGA Hooters tour, US Pro Golf Tour, Dakotas Tour, Triangle Tour, and Moonlight Tour. As a Pro, he also captured the Minnesota State Open Championship 2005. 

      Jered has always shared a special passion for helping people become better golfers, whether it was helping out his high school golf coach during summer junior camps, or giving tips and advice to his Pro-Am partners during tour events. His keen understanding of the golf swing coupled with his experience competing at the highest levels of amateur and professional competition offers a unique insight to all golfers.

      When Jered is not teaching you can find him playing goalie at the  RDV Sportsplex stopping every hockey puck from getting past him, or at least slowing them down.  Jered resides with his wife Adrienne and step-son Markell in the nearby community of Avalon Park.
